TREATMENT : STROKE PATIENTS

A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is disrupted, leading to potentially life-threatening consequences. Also known as a cerebral vascular accident or CVA, this condition can be caused by blood clots or ruptured blood vessels that interrupt the normal flow of blood to the brain. Ischemic strokes occur when a blood clot blocks an artery or blood vessel in the brain, while hemorrhagic strokes occur when a blood vessel ruptures and causes bleeding in the brain.

After a stroke, patients may experience weakness or paralysis on one side of their body, either on the left or right. Some patients may have mild symptoms, such as weakness or limited movement in their limbs, while others may experience more severe symptoms. Regardless of the severity, it’s important to seek medical attention immediately if you suspect that you or a loved one may be experiencing a stroke. Early intervention and treatment can make a significant difference in a patient’s recovery and long-term outcomes.
